Cu Chi Tunnels are the remaining system of tunnels and stretching over 124 miles (200 km). This tunnel is famous in the world for its length and history in Viet Nam War.
Brief Itinerary
Morning:
- Pick up at your hotel and drive to Cu Chi (60km – 1,5 hours)
- Visit Lacquer workshop
- Upon arrival, watch a documentary film
- Discover special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
- Discover an underground town
- Discover many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels and learning more about the handmade weapon and traps
- Taste special tea and tapioca (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.
Afternoon: You can discover the most bustling Saigon and their culture as well as history. You can choose 3-4 places (suitable road) as below:
- The Reunification Palace - historical witness for April 30, 1975
- War Remnants Museum - the cruelty, the pain and the fear of American war
- Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon – A symbolic of Saigon
- Central Post Office - Western-style architectural works combined with oriental features.
- Ben Thanh Market -Market from the 17th century
- Jade Emperor Pagoda – a typical pagoda – symbol for Buddhism
- Fito Museum - first museum in Vietnam which is devoted to the Traditional Vietnamese Medicine & Pharmacy.
- Tan Dinh Market: is one of the markets with a long history in the city.
- Ban Co Market: Heaven of street food and second hand shopping.
