Duration: 01 day / Transportation: Shuttle bus / Departure: Daily

DETAILED ITINERARY

07:45 - 08:00: Bus and tour guide pick you up at hotels in the Old Quarter and Opera House area to depart to visit:

  • Khai Nguyen Pagoda in Son Tay, also called Tan Vien Pagoda, full name is Tan Vien Son Quoc Tu. The pagoda dates back historically to the Ly Dynasty in the first half of the 11th century. Because it was built on the old foundation, according to the old architecture but was newly renovated in 2008, the pagoda has a very unique ancient mark, without destroying the space and historical value. The temple is located in the middle of a peaceful and beautiful countryside. There is a square lake on the campus, lush green trees, and fragrant flowers throughout the four seasons, bringing a pure atmosphere to Buddhists and tourists when entering the temple.
  • Son Tay ancient citadel. The citadel was built in the 3rd year of Minh Mang's reign (1822) and is the only ancient citadel built of laterite in Vietnam with unique architecture such as laterite walls and 4 city gates built of ancient bricks. This is one of the few citadels from the Minh Mang dynasty that remains today. The citadel was built solidly to protect the northwest of Thang Long.

Afternoon: Continue to visit:

  • Duong Lam Ancient Village, a typical ancient village of the Northern Delta.
