Trang An (Ninh Binh) is the first mixed World Heritage site in Southeast Asia, dubbed "Halong Bay on land" for its majestic landscape of 250-million-year-old limestone mountains reflected in the clear blue Sao Khe River. It is famous for its system of 50 fantastical water/dry caves and ancient temples and pagodas, offering a picturesque, tranquil, and pristine natural beauty.

Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is a complex of architectural and historical relics of special national importance in Vietnam. UNESCO has also recognized Hoa Lu Ancient Capital as one of the four core areas of the Trang An World Natural and Cultural Heritage site.

According to historical records, Hoa Lu was the capital of two dynasties: the Dinh Dynasty (968-980) and the Early Le Dynasty (980-1009). The Ly Dynasty only temporarily established its capital in Hoa Lu for one year (1009-1010) before moving to Dai La (Hanoi).

Having endured 1,100 years of turbulent history, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is the most powerful living witness to the history of the Vietnamese nation. The relics, temples, tombs, and pagodas are the remaining historical traces. Besides learning about historical events and heroes of the past, visiting Hoa Lu Ancient Capital in Ninh Binh is also an opportunity to enjoy the beauty and ancient atmosphere of this land of outstanding people and rich history.

ITINERARY :

7h15-8h00: Our tour guide will pick you up from Kingdom Hotel- 64 Dao Duy Tu St. Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. We take you to Ninh Binh province which is about 120 km far from Hanoi Old Quarter.

9h00-9h15: Have a short break for 20 minutes to relax

10h15-10h30: Arrive Vietnam restaurant and start cycling 20 minutes to Hoa Lu ancient capital, then park the bicycle and walk to visit Hoa Lu. This is the first capital of Vietnam, you will be impressed by the outstanding architecture when entering temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17th century.

(If you prefer not to cycle, we will transfer you by bus to Hoa Lu, where our tour guide will meet you and guide you to the temples. After the visit, we will transfer you back to Vietnam Restaurant)

11h30:  Continue cycling tour 30 minutes more around the village to discover the life of local people and come back to Vietnam restaurant.

12h00:  Have Lunch at Vietnam Restaurant designed in a 5-star style. You can have a panoramic view of the poetic mountain and river scenery of Ninh Binh while enjoying the delicious foods.

 Lunch will be served in accordance to service you choose:

- Deluxe Set Menu style: on the 2nd floor if you choose the Luxury D-car option. 

Deluxe Set Menu lunch is served in a private and cozy atmosphere. Foods are decorated impressively on the table.

- Buffet style: on the 3rd floor if you choose the Shuttle Bus/ Thaco Limousine option. 

Buffet lunch is served in a modern and elegant atmosphere with many local foods.

Note: Vegetarian foods are always available on both Deluxe Set Menu and Buffet.

13h00 – 13h30: Visit Trang An, a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in 2014. There, you can spend 1.5 - 2 hours on the boat ride to enjoy the beauty of this place, which has a beautiful tunnel cave system and appears in the New Version of Kong in 2016 – “Skull Island”.

16h00: Get on the Bus to return to Hanoi

18h00 – 18h30: Arrive back to Hanoi and drop off at the hotel . The trip ends!
