Can Gio is a low palm-fringed island sitting at the mouth of the Saigon River, some 25km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The mangroves forest in Can Gio possesses a high biodiversity with more than 200 species of fauna and 52 species of flora.
The island, which is at the intersection between the Saigon River and the sea, was created by silt washing downstream. It’s hard-packed mud rather than sandy beach, so attracts few visitors and the area remains entirely undeveloped.
This will be an excellent eco-tourism tour to help you discover one beauty side of Vietnam’s nature.
ITINERARY
In the morning:
7:30 - 7.45: Gather at the meeting point and Depart to Saigon - Can Gio Monkey Island (this tour depends on tiding, so we will inform departure time exactly when completed reservation).
At Dan Xay bridge pier, halting and enjoying sugar cane juice.
Travel to Can Gio island:
- Visiting heaps of the long – tailed monkeys.
- Visiting The Crocodile farm and other wild animals in mangrove forest.
- Speed jungle boat, the climax of tour, take you to the Vietnamese base in the war.
In the afternoon:
Have a lunch with Vietnamese standard.
Enjoy your free time at swimming pool.
Relax or walk around for sight-seeing.
Drop in public seashore (The 30th April Beach) where lots of street snacks and seafood are available.
18:00: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City. End tour.
