Ngu Ho (5 lakes)-masterpiece by the nature at Bach Ma national park
Bach Ma national park is well-known by the abnormaly beauty of Ngu Ho (literally means 5 lakes) and fairy tales around them. Heading to the peak of Bach Ma then turn to the forest leading by stone stairs, you will see a clear stream flowing to Ngu Ho, a system of 5 natural lakes.
The first lake was created by a large curvy part of a stream looks like a cresent moon stretching around 10 metres, the water is crystal clear and flows slowly. It's easy to look through the bottom and catch countless of stones in differrent size and color.
Walking down along the stream on wooden stairs we will reach the second lake, it is very small but long and twisted and owns countless of granite blocks worn out for millions of years creating large gaps. The surface of the blocks are smooth and unevenly colored.
The third lake looks like a full moon with the depth increases to the waterfall. The water falls from the altitute of 6 metres, widens in the middle and narrows gradually. Big boulders and pebbles borders the lake edges underneath. Rippling water taps the rocky shore, flutters the wood ferns growing on the steep cliffs. Big rocks, about 40 - 70 cm in diameter, smooth with strange colors and shapes adorn the fantasy of the lake. Right below the foot of the lake is the horizontal stones, looks like the sea surface with the waves.
The 4th lake has an oval shape with rugged borders, the water flow is torn into 2 pieces by giant blocks of stones, they flow and fall down as 2 waterfalls, one has peaceful flow and one has agressive one. The stones at the foot of the waterfalls are always soaked and covered by black and green moss.
From the waterfalls, the flow continues to run and suddenly falls down creating the last of five lakes. This is literrally a masterpiece of the nature, a lively painting formed by water and rocks, trees and forest. The edge of the lake is from grey granite blocks with similar sizes, about 2 metres in height. The lake is not quite large, looks like a short saxophone curving along the rock edge. The water continues to flow for a while before falls down to a rhombus lake, the fall is the around an adult's height so the flow is quite peaceful. Without the sunlight, the water in deep lake turns dark blue to black. On the other side, stands a huge dune of sand and tiny stones stopping the water and ends the flow of Ngu Ho.
