Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park is one of the most spectacular wilderness destinations in South East Asia and one of the 2 largest limestone regions in the world. Best time to visit Phong Nha

Located at Northern Vietnam, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park has a typical tropical monsoon weather with hot temperature in summer and high humidity. In summer, temperature can go up to 41°C and it also can drop as low as 6°C in winter. Besides, it is not advisable to go there during typhoon and rainy season, especially from October to December, although the temperature inside the cave is still cool (around 20°C) but the temperature outside is not comfortable.

So, we recommend to visit or join adventure tour in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park from February to August, the weather is more ideal. That is best time to come to Phong Nha, Ke Bang.

How to get there

By bus: There are many major bus companies that organize night busses driving from Hanoi, Hue, Hoian and Da Nang. Tickets can be obtained at hostel and hotel receptions in every major city in Vietnam. The prices may differ per location of purchase.

By plane: Another slightly more expensive way to travel to Phong Nha is to take the plane to Dong Hoi and then travel by bus to Phong Nha.

By train: The nearest train station is located in Dong Hoi City, trains pass this station are available in major cities in the country.
