Nha Trang has consistently maintained its position as one of the most beautiful bays of the world. The town is about 450km north of Saigon and 1200km south of Hanoi. With the 4-km- long main strip of beaches, Nha Trang Bay covers the area of 405km2 including 19 large and small islands. As viewed from high above, the bay looks like the aquamarine stone sparkling in the sunshine, bounded by miles of smoothly golden sands.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Nha Trang would be from February until April when the temperature is in moderate at around 26-27 degree Celsius, and humidity stays at the lowest level of the year. Spring months are also the best time for diving into the ocean since the water is clear and the coral reefs are the most beautiful at this time.
The months between June and August are also good time to visit Nha Trang; however, the temperature and humidity begin to rise up, so it will make you feel hotter and uncomfortable. If you don’t mind the heat and humidity, it won’t be a serious problem that can ruin your holiday. In fact, it is good time for ecotourism, ocean tourism as well as some interesting water sports, which can make you really enjoy the ocean and forget about the heat.
During the year, Nha Trang only experiences rainy season in 4 months, from September to December. This season is not the right time to visit Nha Trang. There are many heavy rains and storms sometimes occur as well. If you plan to go there in this season, you should reconsider your decision.
